Did You Know? Fast Facts About Methamphetamine and Testing

Methamphetamine can settle on almost any home surface, including ceilings, floors, walls, and even on appliances and systems.
The potency of this drug left behind depends on how much was made/used and how often.
Residue that is left behind will not go away on its own and will need to be removed by a professional.
Homes with higher methamphetamine readings could potentially contain other harmful toxins.

The Testing Procedure

When you hire PMT Building Inspections to conduct methamphetamine testing at your property, we’ll arrive fully prepared with all the right equipment and appropriate PPE. We’ll then conduct tests on all the common areas of your home. Those areas include:

Living areas
Bedrooms
Fan vents
Appliances such as air conditioners
Garage

Once we have collected all the samples we need, we’ll use our testing kits to determine if methamphetamine has been present on the property. We’ll also draw up a report of our findings which you can use to determine the most appropriate course of action.
